This week on the show it’s our Parenting Special! We have two incredible guests for you. To talk about her heartbreaking and heartwarming journey to parenthood, I’m joined by author, model, entrepreneur, nutritionist, surrogacy advocate and former Miss World Rosanna Davison for a powerful conversation about the transformative power of becoming a parent.
Our technical expert this week is social media sensation and practicing GP, Dr. Doireann O’Leary to look at the stresses and pressures facing modern parents. If you have humans in your house that look like you or you like the idea of that someday, this is the episode for you.
Rosanna Davison has led an extraordinary life. Daughter of legendary popstar Chris de Burgh, she spent her whole life aware of the public glare and ever since she was crowned Miss World in 2003. In this beautiful conversation with Rosanna you’ll hear about her traumatic experience with 15 miscarriages, discovering and exploring surrogacy and the shock realisation that after all the heartbreak and challenges, she was naturally pregnant with twins, just 3 months after her surrogate birth. It’s an honest, powerful and hopefully helpful conversation that you will find truly fascinating.

Rosanna Davison and Her Journey of Resilience and Joy
If you don’t already know Rosanna Davison, let me fill you in. She’s an author, entrepreneur, qualified nutritionist, and, yes, former Miss World (her Da is also legendary popstar Chris deBurgh!) But behind the glitter and glamour lies a story of unimaginable strength and determination.
Rosanna’s journey to parenthood was anything but easy. After enduring 15 miscarriages, she and her husband Wes explored surrogacy, welcoming their first child, Sophia, with the help of a surrogate. Then, just three months later, came the jaw-dropping news that Rosanna was naturally pregnant with twins!
In our chat, Rosanna shares the highs, the lows, and the in-betweens of her path to motherhood. Her honesty, resilience, and advocacy for surrogacy in Ireland will leave you inspired, and maybe reaching for the tissues.
It’s a story of hope and a reminder of the many roads to creating a family and finding your path with parenthood!
Dr. Doireann O’Leary, The Doctor Every Parent Wants in Their Corner
Dr. Doireann O’Leary isn’t just a practising GP in Cork; she’s a trusted voice for health and wellness on TV, radio, and social media. Known for her practical, no-nonsense advice, Doireann shares her insights into the unique challenges parents face today with her advice as compassionate as it is actionable.
From juggling careers and family life to managing the guilt that seems to follow every decision, Doireann highlights the biggest issues she sees in her practice, from parental burnout to the guilt of “never doing enough.” Her tips are practical, relatable, and sprinkled with the wit and warmth we all need when life feels like one endless school run.
The Good, The Bad, and The Hilariously Awkward World of Parenting
Parenting isn’t all sleepless nights and school runs; sometimes, it’s about surviving the unexpected moments. I even share my own relatable (and hilarious) parenting mishap involving bathroom wipes and a baby. Because, let’s face it, even with no instruction manual, most of us are winging it, and, eventually, figure it all out!
I hope this episode is a gentle reminder of the many ways people experience parenting. For some, it comes easily; for others, the path is paved with obstacles, loss, or unrealised dreams. And for those who don’t follow the parenting path at all, it’s a choice worthy of just as much respect and understanding.
So whether you’re a seasoned parent, dreaming of starting a family, or just curious about the many ways people navigate this journey, this episode promises to inspire, inform, and maybe even make you laugh.

This week’s episode is Good Grief with award-winning and record-breaking comedian Jason Byrne & psychotherapist Dr. Richard Hogan. The fear you have when you say you’ve got an episode about grief is that people will think it’s super depressing but actually it’s not. It’s the opposite. It is poignant, at times hilarious and really really special.
Irish comedian Jason Byrne is the biggest selling comedian in history at the world famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival and has appeared on the biggest TV comedy shows across the UK including BBC’s Live at the Apollo. He has also produced a very special one-man show called Paddy Lama all about his Dad Paddy, who he lost in 2020. In this beautiful and downright hilarious conversation, we explore the transformative power of grief and show that the most important thing we can do for a loved one that has died, and for ourselves, is to talk about them.
We’ve also got another wonderful guest to discuss the subject of grief – celebrity psychotherapist and author Dr. Richard Hogan. It’s a pleasure to welcome Richard back to the series and our conversation explores grief from all angles: how we navigate loss as children and adults, how everyone’s grief is different and even the language we use around death. It’s a fascinating, and I hope super helpful, conversation that could make all the difference for you or someone you care about.
